NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SHEFFIELD
Welcome to newborn and baby photography in Sheffield. If you’re looking for a warm, professional newborn photographer in Sheffield, South Yorkshire—you're in the right place, and I’m so glad you’re here.
First of all, congratulations on the arrival (or upcoming arrival) of your little one! This is such a special and fleeting time, and I’d be truly honoured to help you capture it with a relaxed and meaningful newborn photoshoot in Sheffield. These early days go by in a blur, and my goal is to preserve those tiny toes, sleepy smiles, and first cuddles in timeless images you’ll treasure forever.
As a local Sheffield baby photographer—and a mum myself—I understand just how much care goes into choosing someone to photograph your precious newborn. My aim is to make the experience as calm, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. You’ll be welcomed into a cosy, baby-led studio just a short drive from Sheffield, where your little one’s comfort and safety are always the top priority.
Each newborn photography session is completely baby-led. Whether we spend an hour or three, everything flows at your baby’s pace. There’s time for feeding, cuddles, changes—whatever your little one needs. There’s never any pressure, just a gentle and thoughtful approach throughout.
My photography style blends natural moments with a few elegant, gently posed shots—if baby allows. I love capturing those in-between moments too: a yawn, a tiny stretch, or a peaceful nap in your arms. Together, we’ll create a gallery full of images that feel real, honest, and full of love.
I also love to include parents and siblings in your Sheffield newborn photoshoot. These early family connections are so special—and capturing that bond can be just as meaningful as the newborn portraits themselves.
If you're searching for a friendly and experienced Sheffield newborn photographer who captures heartfelt, natural images in a calm and welcoming space, I’d love to chat. Let’s create something truly special to remember these first days

WHEN IS BEST TO BOOK OUR NEWBORN SESSION?
It’s best to book your newborn photography session after your 20-week scan. When you book, I’ll pencil in your due date in my diary. Then, once your baby has arrived, simply send me a message and we’ll arrange the perfect date for your photoshoot.
The ideal time to photograph your newborn is within the first 3 weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled up—just like they were before they arrived. These early days are perfect for capturing those precious, tiny details and peaceful poses.
That said, if your baby is a little older, please don’t worry—it’s never too late to get beautiful photos. While older newborns might be more alert and a little less curled up, we can still capture gorgeous images of them awake, stretching, and maybe even sharing a cheeky little smile or two!
Because babies rarely arrive exactly on schedule, I only take a limited number of newborn bookings each week to allow for flexibility. This way, I can make sure I’m available whether your little one comes early or decides to keep you waiting a bit longer!
HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION TAKE?
Every baby is beautifully unique—some will snooze peacefully throughout the session, while others may need a few extra feeds, cuddles, and settling time. I recommend allowing up to 3 hours for your newborn photoshoot so we have plenty of time to keep things calm, relaxed, and completely baby-led.
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BRING?
I know it can feel a little overwhelming getting out of the house with a new baby, especially in those early days. For your newborn photoshoot, just bring your usual baby bag, along with extra feeds if you’re bottle feeding and a dummy if your baby uses one. Nappies, wipes, and a warm blanket are always handy to keep baby comfortable. I recommend dressing your baby in something easy to remove and changing them into their outfit once you arrive—I also have a lovely selection of newborn outfits available for you to use.
For parent and sibling images, soft neutral tones like white, cream, or beige work beautifully to keep the focus on your connection with baby. And don’t worry if you forget something—I have plenty of essentials at the studio. Most importantly, come relaxed—we’ll take everything at baby’s pace.
