Family photography is such a beautiful way to freeze time. Life moves quickly, and while we’re often snapping photos of our children, we sometimes forget to include ourselves in those memories. These images are more than just photos—they’re keepsakes, little glimpses into your family’s story, and pieces of art that turn a house into a home.
My sessions are relaxed and fun. I believe the best photos happen when everyone feels at ease, so there’s never any pressure to pose perfectly. I’ll gently guide you throughout, capturing a mix of authentic, candid moments and beautifully composed portraits of individuals, siblings, parents, and the full family.
Outdoor family sessions are perfect for families who love a bit of adventure. There’s something special about embracing the seasons—crunching through golden autumn leaves, spotting spring blossoms, wrapping up warm for crisp winter sunshine, or strolling by the lake during a golden summer evening. Children can run, explore and just be themselves, and the result is joyful, honest, and full-of-life photographs. I regularly shoot in beautiful outdoor locations across Rotherham and the surrounding areas, and I’m always happy to recommend the perfect spot for your session.
Prefer to stay indoors? My home-based studio, just on the outskirts of Rotherham, offers a cosy, calm, and welcoming environment where you can relax and simply enjoy the moment. It’s a true home-from-home and ideal for smaller family groups, with space for up to six people. Whether we’re capturing cuddles on the studio bed or big belly laughs on the floor, the session is always calm, playful, and focused on connection.
No matter where your session takes place, my approach is always the same—natural, timeless, and full of warmth. I focus on real smiles, spontaneous giggles, and those little moments in between that truly tell your family’s story. WHEN TO BOOK YOUR SESSION FOR?
The short answer? As soon as you’re thinking about it!
Family sessions can be booked all year round, and each season brings something a little different—whether it's warm golden light in summer, vibrant leaves in autumn, fresh spring blooms or cosy winter sunshine. I recommend getting in touch at least a few weeks in advance, especially if you're hoping for a weekend date or want to catch a particular time of year. That said, I’ll always do my best to fit you in if you’re feeling spontaneous—so don’t be afraid to reach out and ask!
If you’re hoping for an outdoor session, we’ll keep an eye on the weather together and have a backup plan in case of rain. For indoor studio sessions, things are a little more flexible—but as my studio can only accommodate one family with a maximum of 6 people at a time, booking early helps secure the date that works best for you.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
My cosy home studio is perfect for smaller families, with space to comfortably accommodate up to six people. It's calm, welcoming, and ideal for capturing those close-knit, snuggly moments.
If you’re planning a larger or extended family session, an outdoor location is often the best fit. There’s more space to move, play and gather everyone together, making it a lovely, relaxed option for bigger groups.
WHAT TO WEAR
What you wear for your session will depend on whether you choose a studio or outdoor shoot, but I’m always here to help guide you.
For studio sessions, soft tones like whites, and neutrals work beautifully and help create that timeless, natural look. Flowing dresses, cosy knits, and simple textures photograph especially well in the soft studio light. You’ll also have full access to my carefully curated studio wardrobe, which includes a range of flattering and comfortable pieces for mums and little ones.
For outdoor sessions, outfit choices are often influenced by the season and weather. Think layers in autumn, light fabrics in summer, and warm knits in winter—always with comfort and movement in mind so you can relax and enjoy the moment.

We had a lovely experience with Becky, she did a photoshoot of my parents with their two grandchildren - my son and my brothers son, and they turned out so lovely! It was a nice quick shoot with two little ones, and despite it being hard to get an 18 month old to smile or stay still, she captured some lovely memories. Highly recommend!
