Family & Portrait photography is a great way to capture special moments with the people you love. It helps to preserve memories and create beautiful keepsakes that you can look back on for years to come. It also provides a great opportunity to spend some quality time together. We often get so lost in making sure that we have the memories of our children by taking pictures, but we often forget to include ourselves in these.
Family photos are a staple in any home, they make a house a home, and gives you something to love and adore for many years.
Here is some information regarding my style of photography and what you can expect in your family photography session.
My preferred style of photography is timeless and natural, capturing all your real smiles and laughter. There will be gentle guidance from myself, as I prefer to capture the true connections and love that run through the family, as these show the best smiles, not just staring down the lens and being told to smile.

You will be emailed a gallery of all edited images around 2-3 weeks later
Your digital order will be delivered within 1 week

PRICING
Upon booking the session fee (retainer fee) is required to secure your date in my diary.
Please note, your session fee (retainer fee) is non-refundable, but is transferable to another date if rearranged within 48 hours of your current booked session date.
SESSION FEE
The following Session Fee reserves your booking:
£50 (Monday to Friday)
an additional £25 is required for weekend and bank holiday bookings (this fee is NOT taken off the collection packages)
The non refundable session fee is to secure your photoshoot in my diary, which is then taken off your collection package.

YOUR FAMILY SESSION
As a Rotherham family photographer, I take natural photos of your family. These can be in my home studio in Rotherham, or on location in the great outdoors.
I love being able to capture those untold moments between family members. As time passes by and memories start to fade, your photos will remain with you forever, reminding you of that wonderful moment.
My goal as a Rotherham family photographer is to provide you with timeless, authentic, classic, natural, semi-posed images of your little one, that can take pride of place in your home and cherished forever.
As a family photographer in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, I have the wonderful opportunity to be able to tell your story in my home studio or in the stunning surroundings of nature at its best.

During your session I always aim to ask if you can think of a piece of wall in their homes that looks empty and lonely, and would benefit with some professionally made wall art. Here at White Orchard Photography, I offer a variety of wall art and print products.

YOUR QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU CHARGE FOR AFAMILY PHOTOSHOOT? This is a question that gets asked a lot. I always say it is not the cost you should look at, but more the style. Every photographer has a different style and works in different ways. Therefore the cost is all dependant on the particular photographer you are looking at. Such as me, my sessions are cheaper, not because I am cheap, but because I have less overheads than others as I work from my home studio.
IS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY WORTH IT? 1 million % yes, absolutely. Family photography is the best time to get those beautiful pictures of yourself and loved ones. These images will be the ones that you look back on and will cherish for years to come.
WHAT IS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY? Family photography is a type of session that fouces on you as a family. It is the moment where you can get photos of mums, dads and children all in one session.
HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION LAST? Family photo sessions typically take between 45 minutes and 2 hours to complete. This will depend on the size of your family (I only offer family sessions for small family's), the number poses you'd like to capture, including individual images, and the age of any children involved.
WHERE WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE? Your baby photography session will take place in the comfort of my own lovely home studio, on the outskirts of Barnsley and Rotherham, at Manvers, South Yorkshire. It is within easy access from the M1 and A1 motorways.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS? You will receive your link for your online viewing gallery is around 3-4 weeks, usually less after the session date. You will be able to download your selected amount of digital images straight from the gallery. I suggest doing this on a computer or laptop as mobile phones can decrease the quality of the images.
DO YOU SUPPLY PRINTED PRODUCTS? Yes, I offer a selection of fine art and normal printed products, from lose prints to albums. You will receive a pdf document with the products and pricing in. There is also a selection in the studio for you to have a browse through during the session. I always suggest purchasing some kind of printed product, such as prints, album or folio, as they can be a staple to your home, as well as giving you something tangible to show your family and friends and have on display.
HOW DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH YOUR FAMILY? All you need is a good camera, or camera phone. Good lighting and a good eye for detail. If you are wanting to include yourself in these photos, it is best to get a stand / tripod and attatchments for your camera and/or phone so that you can connect it to the stand. Put your camera on timer and jump in the photo.
