Sessions are available Monday to Friday, between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. While I typically don't work on weekends, I may be able to accommodate a weekend appointment for an additional surcharge of £50.

****Complimentary prints, purchased prints, and products are available for collection only. If you're traveling from a distance and would prefer your prints to be posted, please let me know in advance. Postage and packaging costs are £10 for prints and £25 for larger products. Please note that wall art is strictly collection only.

 

Here are some of the most common questions clients ask about my photography sessions.

Q: Where will the session take place?

A: Your photography session will take place in the comfort of my own lovely home studio, on the outskirts of Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield and Doncaster at Manvers, South Yorkshire. It is within easy access from the M1 and A1 motorways.

Q: When is the best time to book maternity & newborn sessions?

A: Maternity sessions are typically scheduled when you are between 28 and 35 weeks pregnant. For newborn sessions, I reserve your booking around your due date, but we won't finalise the photoshoot date until after your baby is born.

To ensure flexibility for early or late arrivals, I accept a limited number of newborn bookings each month.

Q: How many people can you accommodate?

A: My cozy home studio is designed for small families and can comfortably accommodate up to six people. For maternity and newborn sessions, I recommend including just the parents, partner, and siblings. However, if you’d like to include other family members in your session, please feel free to reach out, and we can discuss your request.

Q: What should I/We wear?

A: For your maternity session, you have several options to ensure you feel comfortable and look stunning. You’re welcome to bring your own clothing or choose from the beautiful maternity outfits I have available. These pieces are carefully selected to flatter and photograph beautifully, offering a variety of styles to suit your preferences.

I’m a big admirer of natural and timeless aesthetics, so I recommend wearing neutral and earthy tones such as whites, beiges, creams, and browns. These colours create a soft, elegant look that works wonderfully in photos. When planning your outfits, aim for coordinated styles to achieve a harmonious feel. Avoid bold patterns or large logos, as they can detract from the overall aesthetic. Simple, cohesive outfits allow the focus to remain on you and your loved ones, resulting in images you’ll treasure for years to come.

Q: Should we bring anything?

A: Trying to remember everything to take out with you once your little one arrives, can be a challenge, especially for first time parents. Apart from your usual items that is carried in the baby bag, I would advise the following: -

Choose your outfits (try not to dress the newborn in their outfit until arrival at the studio. I also provide some lovely outfits too), Pack nappies, wipes and milk, bring a dummy if baby has one and a warm blanket.

Q: Do you travel to do newborn sessions at home or lifestyle sessions at home?

A: Yes, these packages are slightly different from my standard offerings, so if you’re interested in booking one of these sessions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d be happy to provide more details, discuss your specific needs, and ensure the session is tailored to your preferences. Your experience is important to me, and I’m here to help you make the best choice for capturing your special moments.

Q: Will I get the print release to my photos after the session?

A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release.

Q: Will my photos be shared on your website or social media?

A: I respect your privacy and give each client the choice of whether or not they'd like their photos shared publicly. If you're comfortable with it, I’d be thrilled to showcase your beautiful images!

Q: Will you retouch my images to remove any blemishes, wrinkles, or other imperfections?

A: While I aim to create polished and beautiful images, there are certain details that may not always be possible to fully remove or alter through editing, such as wispy hair, tears, sleep crusts, food crumbs, drool, wrinkled or bobbled clothing, chipped nail polish, grey hairs, lint, or flaky skin etc. To ensure the best results, I recommend taking care of these small details prior to your session, so we can focus on capturing your most beautiful moments.
