Babies change so much within their first year and it goes by so quickly you hardly have time to blink. I know from personal experience with my own 2 children, this time in the little ones life is something you want to remember forever. Them growing from the tiny little bean, to rolling over, sitting un aided and possibly a first word. This is the best time to get some wonderful photos.
Here is some information regarding my style of photography and what you can expect in your older baby photography session.
My preferred style of photography is timeless and natural, capturing your baby in their traditional positions, with gentle guidance from myself. So if they want to lay on the floor and hold there head up or if they want to sit and play with toys. It will all be captured to preserve the best memories.

You will be emailed a gallery of all edited images around 2-3 weeks later
Your digital order will be delivered within 1 week
We spent a good hour with Becky and it was so worthwhile. The photos we have of our daughter are fantastic and exactly what we wanted. Becky worked with us to get the right images and we really couldn't be happier.

PRICING
Upon booking the session fee (retainer fee) is required to secure your date in my diary.
Please note, your session fee (retainer fee) is non-refundable, but is transferable to another date if rearranged within 48 hours of your current booked session date.
SESSION FEE
The following Session Fee reserves your booking:
£50 (Monday to Friday)
an additional £25 is required for weekend and bank holiday bookings (this fee is NOT taken off the collection packages)
The non refundable session fee is to secure your photoshoot in my diary, which is then taken off your collection package.

YOUR OLDER BABY SESSION
As a Rotherham older baby photographer, I take natural photos of your little one, exploring some of the lovely wooden toys I have in my studio in Rotherham. I will also take some adorable sitter photos, with them using a mirror etc. The possibilities are endless at this age.
During your sitter session in my home studio in Rotherham, I also include photos of mum, dad and siblings at no extra charge.
My goal as a Rotherham older baby photographer is to provide you with timeless, authentic, classic, natural, semi-posed images of your little one, that can take pride of place in your home and cherished forever.
The best time for an older baby photography session is between 6-10 months old, when your little one can sit unaided or with a little help, and is happy exploring and interacting with you.

THERE IS NOTHING THAT MAKES A HOME MORE ‘HOMELY’ THAN DISPLAYING YOUR FAMILIES MEMORIES THAT WILL BE CHERISHED MEMORIES AND ALLOW YOU TO RELIVE THAT SPECIAL MILESTONE, FOSTERING A SENSE OF NOSTALGIA AND CONNECTION.
During your session I always aim to ask if you can think of a piece of wall in their homes that looks empty and lonely, and would benefit with some professionally made wall art. Here at White Orchard Photography, I offer a variety of wall art and print products.

YOUR QUESTIONS
WHAT AGE SHOULD YOU DO A BABY PHOTOSHOOT? A baby session can be booked at any point after the newborn stage, so roughly from around 4 months old. If you're wanting a variety of photos where your little one is moving more and may be able to sit unaided, and showing an interest in their environment, I would recommend booking in your baby session for when your bundle of joy is around 6-11 months old.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY FOR BABY PICTURES? This can vary quite considerably. Each photographer has their own styling and also overheads, so the cost will vary from photographer to photographer. My advice would be to view the photographers image and go with the style your wanting. For myself, I am a very natural photographer and baby led, so there is no strict posing.
ARE BABY PHOTOSHOOTS WORTH IT? I have never met a client yet say that there baby photos were not worth. In fact I have had the complete opposite, from people who wasn't sure about having the photos done due to one reason or another, but decided to book just so they had something. They have turned around and said that they are so glad that they did. Those few hours spent with a professional capturing your baby, will result in a lifetime of memories and joy whenever you look at those images.
HOW DO I TAKE GOOD PICTURES OF MY BABY? All you need is a good camera or smart phone, good lighting and a good eye for detail. Obviously, I would always recommend booking a professional, then you have the opportunity to have your photos taken with your little one.
WHERE WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE? Your baby photography session will take place in the comfort of my own lovely home studio, on the outskirts of Barnsley and Rotherham, at Manvers, South Yorkshire. It is within easy access from the M1 and A1 motorways.
DO WE NEED TO BRING ANYTHING? No you do not need to worry about bringing anything with you, unless you want to bring some snacks for the little one for bribery, as we all know this can sometimes work. I have a selection of beautiful wooden toys for your little one to play with during their session. .
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS? You will receive your link for your online viewing gallery is around 3-4 weeks, usually less after the session date. You will be able to download your selected amount of digital images straight from the gallery. I suggest doing this on a computer or laptop as mobile phones can decrease the quality of the images.
DO YOU SUPPLY PRINTED PRODUCTS? Yes, I offer a selection of fine art and normal printed products, from lose prints to albums. You will receive a pdf document with the products and pricing in. There is also a selection in the studio for you to have a browse through during the session. I always suggest purchasing some kind of printed product, such as prints, album or folio, as they can be a staple to your home, as well as giving you something tangible to show your family and friends and have on display.
