March 2024
Sarah was booked in for a family photo session on location. She was bought the session as a Christmas gift. After speaking with Sarah, we decided to do the session at Wentworth.
The area we chose was the long walk "tree walk" as I call it. This is the long walk way that goes from the garden centre down to the church.
On the day, I met Sarah, her partner and two adorable children at the entrance to the garden centre car park, and we all walked across together to the "tree walk". It was a lovely sunny day, however it was quite windy at the same time, so we had to choose the moments to take the photos when the wind died down a little and in between the gusts.
We started the session just after we walked through the gates on the walk way. I always try to keep my sessions as relaxed as a possible with very little posing, as I feel this can be more enjoyable for the families and it also can capture the best smiles as they are not forced and more natural.
We walked slowly down the walk way utilising the different areas of grass and trees as well as the field at the side as it made a lovely backdrop. We also found a little wooded area with a fallen tree, which made a lovely seat for the family to sit on for a group shot.
Wentworth is a lovely place for a photo session as the backdrops you can use is very vast. After the session you can also take a trip in to the garden centre where there is a farm for the children and a café and shop.
