Welcoming Little Amelia to the Studio

I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming tiny Amelia to my home studio, accompanied by her lovely mum and dad. From the moment they walked in, the room was filled with excitement and love. Amelia was such a tiny little nugget, radiating sweetness with her delicate features and curious eyes. Capturing these fleeting newborn moments is always so special, and I feel truly honoured to be a part of these early memories.

Easing Into the Session

When working with newborns, it's important to make the experience as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We began the session with Amelia fully dressed, allowing her to acclimatise to the new surroundings gradually. This gentle approach helps little ones feel safe and secure before we start capturing those adorable, intimate details.

As she became more settled, we carefully removed layers, eventually photographing her in just her bodysuit. This not only showcased her tiny little toe beans and fingers but also highlighted just how delicate and perfect she is. I always love capturing those precious details – the tiny wrinkles, the curled-up toes, and those impossibly small fingers that parents want to remember forever.

Capturing Family Bonds

One of the most heartwarming parts of the session was witnessing the bond between Amelia and her parents. Their love and adoration were palpable, and I made sure to capture those tender moments – gentle kisses, protective embraces, and proud smiles. These are the moments that tell a family’s story, and it’s always an honour to document them.

The Joy of Preserving Memories

After the session, we sat down to review the images together. It’s always a magical moment when parents see the photos for the first time – the joy, the tears, and the overwhelming love. Amelia’s mum and dad were absolutely thrilled with the results and, to my delight, decided to purchase the entire gallery. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Choosing just a few favourites would have been a challenge – each photo captured a different expression, a unique detail, a fleeting moment that they’ll now be able to cherish forever.
